Dr. Olivia Chu
Dr. Olivia was drawn to be a doctor because she had an overwhelming desire to help people. She chose chiropractic because it is the type of alternative health care that allows patients to improve their lives naturally. She enjoys using her hands and knowledge to allow patients to enjoy their lives to the fullest.
“There are many times patients appear with symptoms that take diligent listening and investigation skills to sort out the facts. I invest the time needed to properly diagnose my patients’ problems,” says Dr.Olivia. “There are so many people are in the world that suffer when they don’t need to be. There are a great number of conditions that can be solved under the guidance of chiropractic care. I want to be able to reach as many lives as possible to allow patients to function at their best."
Dr. Olivia attended Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in San Jose, CA. The long hours and the teachers were engaging and challenged her to become the best doctor possible.
During her time at Palmer, Dr. Chu was selected to intern at a Department of Defense hospital in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. There she worked with a mentor clinician in a multi-disciplinary setting to provide care for active duty military men and women. Dr. Olivia was also able to provide care for the Naval Academy's football team during her internship. It was gratifying for her to be able to give back to the people who help serve and protect our country.
Since graduating chiropractic school, Dr. Olivia has pursued a postgraduate degree as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician® (CCSP®). The certification required a minimum of 100 hours specific to the evaluation and treatment of injuries encountered in sports. The training has given Dr. Olivia the skills and knowledge in the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries.
Outside The Office
During her free time, Dr. Olivia enjoy spending time outdoors with her dog; whether it be going on a hike or checking out the fresh produce at a Farmers Market. Dr. Olivia also enjoys weightlifting, baking, and rooting for Sacramento Kings.
